Meet Nawel and Mohamed about SIRS-Bot project

Nawel, Doctor and Project Manager and Mohamed, Engineer and AI researcher of Audensiel Lab’Innov shares their SIRS-Bot project with its challenges and the involvement of artificial intelligence. This project won two awards last June, including the IA award.

SIRS-Bot, a project for the medical

This project is a diagnostic-assistance smart medical chatbot. The development of this project started from the observation of an overloaded health system with sometimes long waiting times for an appointment, especially in some regions where medical desertification is important. SIRS-Bot was created to support doctors in order to save them time in the diagnosis by analyzing the patient’s symptoms before the appointment. Thus, SIRS-Bot allows the patient to make a pre-diagnosis from the symptoms described.

Artificial intelligence at the heart of this project

SIRS-Bot is based on generative artificial intelligence for interactions with the user, whether it be the patient or the health care professional. Artificial intelligence is also used for image recognition. Indeed, SIRS-Bot use the VQA (Visual Question Answering) systems that allow to understand the content of an image and thus answer questions from this visual content. Therefore, thanks to artificial intelligence, the user can exchange accurately in order to obtain a complete pre-diagnosis.
